Re: Automatic login in Joomla Post by attiato » Thu Oct 16, pm I'm looking too for a way to autologin users based on their IP address, stored in the database. Any idea anybody? How can i make this to work? Thanks in advance! Re: Automatic login in Joomla Post by pasamio » Thu Oct 30, am The simplest method for doing automatic login is getting your users to tick the "remember me" box and it'll remember them without needing to log in.

If you want to have automated logins you will need to do some work to ensure that the server can properly identify who the user is so that they can be logged in.

This can be done with JAuthTools for 1. I'm looking for automatic login as well. We'd like our users to automatically log in based on the Windows user. Any help is greatly appreciated. You'll need a user source bot available if you want to automatically create users from SSO events, which does require a bit more effort to get up and running because you need service accounts on the Windows side for J!

When I get some time I'm going to document how to do things on a Windows Server environment from scratch. Maybe a video walk through or something - got to work that one out though something new and different. Now all I need is some spare time! I have installed JAuthTools. When I try to use usersource checker. I don't get any results. When I use ssochecker, I get "Plugin plgssohttp failed to detect a user" When I do an authentication test, I get: "Plugin plgauthenticationjoomla failed to authenticate the user with error User does not exist.

Plugin plgauthenticationldap authenticated user successfully. Authentication test is selected in the dropdown. The user can login if they already exist. Username: falk Email: falka universityent.
