Also, when an alarm activates should you be able to see what zone was triggered by launching the icomms app, and tapping on Zones? Originally Posted by decemberrain. Indeed, what he said.. I just installed a D16X with IP and I have successfully gotten iComms working firstly on my internal network and then external via port forwarding. Unfortunately I am having an issue at the moment that I cannot get the system to recognise user codes entered via iComms. I can see zone status and Area status on the main iComms screen, so it seems to be connected.
I can touch the shield to get the keypad up. It seems to me that the D16X is not accepting the user code when entered via the serial input, but the code works fine when entered on the Navigator panel. I was wondering if it could be a user code setup problem. It seems that codes can be enabled for radio etc, but I could not see anything about enabled for serial control or iComms control.
If anyone has any ideas I can try, that would be appreciated. I have my own code set up as the master code, but I also tried the same on a non-master code with the same results. Cheers and thanks in advance, Adrian.
Thanks for the response AdRock. I already have them set. Interestingly I did not realise straight away that those options were required, and did not have them set and it did work.
Setting them on seemed to make no difference to me. Cheers, Adrian. Also, just adding. I have the Alarm set up with two areas. Not sure if that could change the ability to use them over the serial interface via iComms.
With the iComms app, you may need to press the keys a little slower. Everytime you press a key it sends that command to the panel. Lets say your user code is then try this: Press Arm, then wait a second.. Press 1, wait a second.. Press 2, wait a second..
Press 3, wait a second.. Press E, give it a second and the panel should arm. Originally Posted by aaron. Hi, No other options need to be enabled. Some work well, others do not.
