You are already done! Quick and easy organizing project! This basket goes in the cabinet that holds our games and movies. The chair rail removal I showed you. I can get the basket into the cabinet, but there would be no way to take blog worthy photos. Anyway, the new basket full of puzzles works well for us…well it will when I get the living room done and put back together. What kinds of quick and easy organizing projects have you completed?
Maybe I could get a new idea or two. I'm KC. I'm a single mom of 2 girls who loves all things creative. Whether it's making something crafty or tackling that DIY project, I'm gonna have some fun and stay organized in the process. Your puzzles look great! We are still in the wooden puzzle stage. I got some mesh lingerie bags from the dollar section at target. Each wooden puzzle fits in perfectly, board and all.
I am currently storing them all in a plastic tub but your basket is much cuter! That sounds like a fantastic idea! I bet they will work when you move out of the wooden puzzle phase as well. Thanks for sharing your idea. I usually lurk, but I just had to share that we recently did this with our puzzles and I also hated the idea of using the disposable plastic baggies.
We lucked out and our store was having a sale on back-to-school supplies at the same time. While it cost us a little more up front, they will definitely last my kidlets much longer than plastic baggies would. We also cut out the picture of each puzzle and slid in behind the plastic window. We also used one of these bags for each of our games in our game cupboard. These narrow plastic storage bins work great for cards. I separated my kid and adult games so that it would be easier for my kids to find what they were looking for.
I used chalkboard tags and a white paint marker to label everything. A labeler also came in handy for the card storage bin. It feels like so much less wasted space and everything is uniform. I hope you love it too. Turn on your JavaScript to view content.
I like to hang out on Instagram and share more in-depth tutorials on everything I make, create and organize. I detailed the entire process in a blog post that you can view here. This was such a simple organization project, but it made a huge difference in our game […]. But what do you do with all of the pieces?
Do you use individual zip lock bags for each to what? I put the smaller pieces and cards into the small zipper pouches and then everything into a large zipper pouch.
You can also use elastics to hold cards together. Wondering if you have any suggestions for lego organization?!?!? Since a lot of us moms probably have very similar games would you mind breaking out which games you out into which size pouches?
Since you have already done the work a breakdown would be time saving for those of us who are wanting to do the project…it would be like a little cheat sheet! Such a great idea to grab games at garage sales or thrift stores! Your email address will not be published.
