The computer reboots once, and then on the "Completing Installation" entry it hangs after a few minutes, the mouse doesn't move, nothing happens. I have let it run in this state for approximately 10 hours thinking it needed "time" to install. Based on things I have read in this forum and elsewhere, I have disconnected all USB peripherals, and have nothing attached that is not needed for the installation.
Any thoughts? Yo, i have try much time to format my Inspiron but didnt work so i tryed with loading driver but still dont work i think the problem is when i insert my driver dell cd and load driver i see only 1 " for internet " is it normal?

I click through the setup and it starts Extracting the files. For me it seems that the setup works correctly until the DVD-drive spins down. At that point the setup freezes. I have been trying to install Server which is the exact same Vista kernal and i have had the same problem as you. Now 1GB was in my machine! Office Office Exchange Server. Not an IT pro?
